YOU KNOW YOU ARE LIBERAL IF . . .
*You can get through a whole evangelistic presentation and never say the words "Repent" and "Obey".
*You are always saying to people "You're just too black and white" after you are confronted with a Bible verse, you say, "Yes, but I think . . ."
*You teach people living in sin about assurance of salvation.
*The most you ever insert into a Biblical discussion is "Yea, but nobody's perfect."
*You believe that the Ten Commandments are good ideas for life.
*You don't like hellfire preaching.
*You claim eternal security but no responsibility.
*When you look at a Bible verse you say: "That doesn't mean what it says."
*You have a "I'm not perfect just forgiven" bumper sticker on your car.
*You worry more about how people feel than how they live.
*You care more about "self-esteem" than self-denial.
*You think uncommitted or worldly "Christians" go to heaven.
*When presented with undeniable evidence to prove you wrong, you smile and say, "That's nice for you."
*You get upset when people use the Bible in opposition to your agenda.
*You say that God is merciful and loving to the point that it doesn't matter what you do.
*You refrain from the use of the word "Hell" in witnessing.
*When you hear a command from the Bible you point and shout: "Legalist!"
*When you say that Judas went to heaven.
*When asked to do something you know you should do, you say: "I'll pray about it."
Liberalism in the Church is causing more people to be deceived into eternal fire than all the cults combined. If after looking over this self-examination, you realize that some of these dangerous tendencies are evident in your own life, the best advice is to read the Word of God. When you come up against a verse that doesn't "fit", don't make it say what you want it to say, take it at face value. Read the Parables of Jesus and let the Holy Spirit, not a commentator, shed light on the meaning. God is serious about the Truth He has laid down in His Word -- ARE YOU?
